3 Golden Rules of Marketing

It’s Thanksgiving week. It’s a time to reflect on all the people and things in our lives for which we are truly grateful. It is also a time to give back for all that we have and be generous to others in our lives. So in the spirit of Thanksgiving, I will freely share the brilliant 3 Golden Rules in marketing bestowed upon me by my 7 and 9 year old boys. It is geared towards art but can easily be implemented for any marketable product. I hope the free advice helps you in promoting your own business.

Rule #1: You should tell rich people to buy your art. Don’t try to sell it to poor people. They don’t have money. Just focus on the rich people.

Rule #2: If selling to the rich doesn’t work put your art on sale. For like $5. Then lots of people can buy it. Even kids. Especially kids since they have allowance money.

Rule #3: If you are too shy to tell people about your art, call everyone and tell them you are Carla, Marla’s twin sister. Then you tell them how fabulous Marla’s art is and how they should really buy it.

Have a happy Thanksgiving week!

Good luck,

Carla Bender

PS. After Thanksgiving, we participate in Small Business Saturday- a day to celebrate and support small local businesses. We’ll have discount offers through the weekend and Cyber Monday.
